Estudié en la Universidad de Almería. Soy licenciada en Ciencias Ambientales, doctora en ciencias aplicadas y medioambientales, y Máster en evaluación y seguimiento del Cambio Global. He sido investigadora predoctoral en la UAL/CAESCG y en el laboratorio de socioecosistemas de Madrid en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Posteriormente trabajé como investigadora postdoctoral en la universidad Estatal de Idaho (EEUU) y en la Universidad de Kassel (Alemania) realizando investigaciones relacionadas con el análisis de sistemas socio-ecológicos e impartiendo docencia en las ciencias de la sostenibilidad, agricultura ecológica y sistemas agroforestales.

Desde Febrero de 2021 soy investigadora postdoctoral en la Universidad de Almería. Mi trabajo se centra en entender las conexiones y relaciones humano-naturaleza para promover sistemas socio-ecológicos más sostenibles. Mi docencia cubre las ciencias de la sostenibilidad y valoración de servicios de los ecosistemas. Imparto la/s asignatura/s de servicios de los ecosistemas en el Máster de gestión de recursos naturales de la UAL, y la asignatura de ciencias de la sostenibilidad en el grado de sostenibilidad de la Universidad de Leuphana (Alemania). Fundadora y miembro del colectivo FRACTAL.

INVESTIGACIÓN

Mis intereses de investigación se enfocan hacia una mejor comprensión de las relaciones humano-naturaleza, para entender mejor cómo interaccionamos con el medio natural con especial interés en el entorno rural y sus valores bioculturales. Además, desarrollo investigación con perspectiva de género para fomentar sistemas más equitativos y visibilizar el papel de la mujer en la sostenibilidad.
