Contenido y Programa:

Call for entrepreneurial students who are ready to develop an innovative bio-based solution in multidisciplinary teams. The Biobased Industries Consortium (BIC) launches the competition BISC-E, an opportunity to showcase yourself in the most important European event related to bioindustries, in front of an European jury of experts in bioprocesses and bioproducts. BISC-E provides opportunities to students with entrepreneurial mindset to put their talent to work and benefit from the process.

The challenge is open for University students across different grade levels including Masters and first two years of PhD. Multidisciplinary teams are welcome, e.g. Sciences, Engineering, Social Sciences, Economics, Law etc.

THE CHALLENGE

Teams develop a bio-based innovation, product or process and present their idea to a jury of experts from the professional field. Teams will consist of a minimum of three students and a maximum of six.

BISC-E will give them support, and training will be provided on developing business pitches and creating videos for your bio-based solutions. European industry specialists will help students to connect with peers and industry leaders while develop skills in interdisciplinary collaboration, challenge-based learning and the design and presentation towards bio-based, climate-change and carbon-neutral solutions.

The challenge has a National phase contest and a European final where the national champions will compete. The National phase consists in a short pitch accompanied by a supporting manuscript (less than 10 A4 extension) explaining the process flow, technical feasibility, sustainability and economic viability of your innovative idea. The European final will take place in Brussels with an international jury.
